Baba Yaga's Witch House
By Bokhari Hamid · Creative Director — Buried Games
In Slavic folklore, Baba Yaga's hut stands on chicken legs — so in this personal piece, the enchantment doesn't stop at the walls. The interior concept comes with a full cast of living props in the same spirit: a walking mortar and feather broom, furniture with creature tails, and barrel-deer that wander off to collect food. The scene was blocked out in Blender, then painted and explored through color and mood options in Photoshop.

Props that live
The prop sheets carry the folklore logic through every object: chairs and beds with tails tucked under them, a chest draped in bat wings, drinking horns clinging to stumps, and caged boxes that sprout wings or legs — with the chosen directions ticked on the study sheets, exactly as they'd be handed to a 3D team.
The interior itself was blocked out in 3D first, so the lighting and camera hold up from any angle, then painted over — with the final color and mood explored in side-by-side options.
