In KoutQ8 you and a partner sit opposite each other against the other team. Each round begins with bidding — players declare how many tricks their side expects to win — and play then proceeds trick by trick, with the strongest card taking each hand. Strong play is about counting the cards, signalling intent to your partner through the order you play, and bidding accurately so you neither overcommit nor leave points on the table. You can play online against friends and other players or sharpen your strategy against the AI partner and opponents, with leaderboards and stats tracking your climb. The pacing, scoring, and dealing are all handled for you, so newcomers can learn by playing while veterans focus on the deeper strategy.

Kout is one of the most-played card games in Kuwait, yet a faithful, well-built digital version was surprisingly hard to find. We built KoutQ8 to fill that gap — to let people enjoy a proper game of Kout even when the four of them cannot gather in one majlis. The toughest part was the AI: a trick-taking partner game is hard to model well, because a good AI partner has to bid sensibly and play in coordination, not just legally. Pairing that with reliable online multiplayer in Unity gave us a release players can pick up whenever they want a round, against people or against the machine.
